Manufactured to the highest quality the Lotus Roller has been through the independent quality inspection of a European notified body allowing it to be called a genuine CE Approved Medical Device. The Lotus Roller® is manufactured in strict accordance with EU Medical Device Directive 93/42.
The Lotus Roller® Derma Roller is a breakthrough in the field of Anti Aging. A simple to use method that can be used in your own home and can produce amazing results such as a 1,000% increase in collagen production after a single use. Also known as skin needling the rollers contains 192 tiny stainless steel needles. Dermarollers are currently being marketed under various brand names including Derma roller, dermaroller Dr Roller and the MIT Roller. White Lotus sells a variety of different sized Derma Rollers for different uses. Please examine the list below for the area you wish to treat to determine the correct size.
White Lotus only stocks Roller sizes that induce collagen (0.5mm and above)
The Lotus Roller® has 0.30mm wide needles meaning they last at least a year of repeated use. Most Derma Rollers are 0.15mm wide needles that do not last long before catching on the skin, causing pain, bleeding and immediate replacement.
Stimulates an increase in blood flow to the area to improve appearance.
Loss of collagen is the main cause of signs of aging. The Derma Roller increases the production of collagen by up to 1,000% in a single treatment.
It increases the effectiveness of your hair and skin care products by stimulating up to a 10,000 fold increase in absorption in a single use.
The process has been demonstrated not to be painful
The Derma Roller is very safe to use for all skin types. Skin needling has been used for thousands of years in China and extensively researched in the modern world with few side effects reported.
It can assist a wide variety of conditions including hair loss, wrinkles, sagging skin, scars, cellulite and stretchmarks amongst others.
Currently there are a great deal of companies claiming their Derma Rollers have FDA Approval, FDA listed or FDA registeration. This sounds very impressive until you realise that this simply means they have self regulated themselves as a class 1 medical device. Basically they have filled out a form and paid a fee. At no point were their manufacturing premises inspected or did the FDA guarantee the sterility or quality of the product. The FDA directive on the subject is listed below.
FDA 21 CFR807.39; "Registration of a device establishment or assignment of a registration number does not in any way denote approval of the establishment or its products. Any representation that creates an impression of official approval because of registration or possession of a registration number is misleading and constitutes misbranding."
CE approval on the other hand means the manufacturing premises of the product was inspected by a notified body of the EEC and that an EEC certificate 93/42 was issued assuring buyers of both quality and importantly in the case of Derma Rollers sterility. Derma Rollers that meet this criteria will carry the CE logo on their packaging along with their unique notified body number ( a 4 digit number displayed after the CE Logo).
As you can see CE approval is the only real guarantee of quality and sterility.
As a final note it is worth mentioning that if you do buy a cheap Derma Roller from Asia and it carries the CE logo on its packaging it might be worth investigating further as not all companies operate honestly. Many companies have recently started advertising as 'CE', please note they may have a certificate of conformity, not a 93/42 EC Medical Directive certificate (the only assurance of sterility and quality). Meeting the demands of the Eu Medical Device Directive 93/42 is currently the only guarantee that the manufacturing premises has been inspected by an independent notified body guaranteeing quality and sterility.

Skin needling has been used for hair restoration in China for thousands of years. It was used in conjunction with Chinese herbal formulas that assist in increasing hair regrowth and improve hair quality. Recent scientific evidence has supported this use with trials proving that the Derma Roller can increase absorption through the skin (transdermal) by up to 10,000 times in a single use.
This makes it especially important that any products used on the scalp are safe and natural. We recommend avoiding synthetic products that are known to raise blood pressure or have other side effects. We recommend you use the White Lotus Hair Restoration spray with the Lotus Roller Derma Roller.
This Hair restoration spray is made from natural plant based herbs in an organic ethanol base. It is devised from time proven hair restoration herbs of China and is approved by the vegan society. When purchasing a Lotus Roller Derma Roller for hair restoration we recommend a 1mm roller as slightly longer needles are sometimes needed to pass through still existing hair. Anti Aging and Beauty
The Lotus Roller Derma Roller is highly effective as an anti aging solution. It is effective against wrinkles, skin damage, crow's feet, lip creases, coarse skin, pigmentation problems, sun damage and sagging skin. This is because it has been shown that the Derma Roller can increase collagen production in the skin by up to 1,000% in a single treatment. This is known as collagen induction therapy or CIT for short. The major cause of skin aging is collagen loss.
This means that results can be achieved in very short periods of use at home. The dermaroller has also been shown to increase the absorption of anti aging beauty products through the skin by up to 10,000 times in a single treatment. This means any effective anti aging product used with the Derma Roller will be even more effective. It also makes it especially important that any products used with the roller and both natural and safe.
We recommend using the White Lotus Anti Aging serum with the Lotus Roller Derma Roller. The serum is produced by natural plant based herbs in an organic green tea oil base. It is devised from time proven anti aging herbs of China and is approved by the vegan society. To perform collagen induction therapy we recommend the 0.5mm Lotus Roller Derma Roller as this is the smallest needle size which have been shown to induce collagen production. Scar Reduction
Traditionally scars have been considered very difficult to treat by dermatologists. The Derma Roller has changed this view. Based on physician use of the Derma Rollers average improvement in scars is around 70%. The Lotus Roller Derma Roller is easy to use and is simply rolled across the scar in various directions for several minutes. Depending on the type of scar being treated and the depth of the scar different length Derma Rollers should be used. For most scars on the body we including deep ice pick scars on the shoulders we recommend using the 1mm Derma Roller. For smaller scars on the face we recommend the 0.5mm Derma Roller. Derma Rollers can be used to effectively on:
chicken pock scars
ice pick scars
appendectomy scars
burn scars
surgery or surgical scars
C-section scarring
tummy tuck scar removal
Acne Scarring
For best results we recommend using the Lotus Roller Derma Roller in conjunction with the White Lotus Scar serum. To view this and other useful products for scar treatment please click on the following link to visit our online beauty shop. Scar Reduction Products
Cellulite
The Derma Roller is highly effective at removing the appearance of cellulite. It causes the skin to thicken tighten and restore elasticity. It also increases the production of collagen fibres and elastin fibres so improving the appearance of the skin immediately. Unlike other techniques such as skin peels and dermabrasion it does not damage the skin or remove the epidermis and so is suitable for all types of skin. For best results use with the White Lotus Scar serum. Both products can be found in the White Lotus online shop by following this link. Online Beauty Shop
Stretchmarks
Stretch Marks or striae are experienced by about 80% of women during pregnancy and are usually permanent. Until recently the treatment of stretchmarks was very difficult. The Derma Roller achieves results through Collagen Induction therapy or CIT. This is because glucocorticoid hormones prevent the transformation of fibroblasts into both collagen and elastin fibres in the area. By producing collagen in the area the Lotus Roller Derma Roller dramatically reduces the appearance of striae. Best of all unlike dermabrasion or laser therapy there is no risk of pigmentation loss as the outer layer of skin is not removed. For best results use with the White Lotus Scar serum. Q: Is the White Lotus genuine Lotus Roller Derma Roller MHRA or EU approved?
The Lotus Roller Dermaroller is manufactured to the highest quality and our manufacturer has been through the independent quality inspection of a European notified body allowing the Lotus Roller to be called a genuine CE Approved Medical Device. The Lotus Roller is manufactured in strict accordance with EU Medical Device Directive 93/42. In addition to this
Q: What is the difference between a DERMAROLLER and a derma roller?
A: The word dermal comes from the Latin which simply means relating to the skin. Dermal Rollers and dermal stamps have been used in China for thousands of years for both anti aging and hair restoration. More recently the term DERMAROLLER has been trademarked by a European company. This business tactic has meant that the term dermaroller can only be used as a descriptive term for a variety of skin neelding rollers other wise the user risks legal action in some countries. This has unfortunately lead to some confusion as prior to these trademarks being taken out the term was being used across the industry for all skin neelding devices. Derma rollers are also called skin needling rollers, collagen induction therapy, microneedling, transdermal rollers and the Lotus Roller.
Q: How can you guarantee the quality of the Lotus Roller Derma Roller?
A: Manufactured to the highest quality the Lotus Roller has been through the independent quality inspection of a European notified body allowing it to be called a genuine CE Approved Medical Device. The Lotus Roller® is manufactured in strict accordance with EU Medical Device Directive 93/42. In addition to this
Devices.Q: Is there any scientific proof for the effectiveness of the Derma Roller?
A: Please see our section on recent scientific studies above. This is just a small selection of the amount of literature now available demonstrating the effectiveness of dermarollers. Click Here.
Q: Was the Derma Roller used in ancient China?
A: Yes the Derma Roller is derived originally from the knowledge of acupuncture hence it is still often called skin needling. Originally both Derma Rollers and dermal hammers were used. The dermal hammers were more similar to the new dermal stamps that are being released for scar treatments. It was only more recently with the advances in needle quality and the increase in scientific trials conducted on the rollers that they have catapulted to fame.
Q: Can the Lotus Roller Derma Roller increase the absorption of products through the skin?
A: Yes it has been shown that Derma Rollers can increase transdermal absorption of some products by up to 10,000 times after a single use. This is not surprising as the roller does lightly puncture the skin. This has several implications. It means that the Derma Rollers can be used to increase the absorption of both anti aging products and hair restoration products. It also means that it is highly important that all products used are as safe and natural as possible. At White Lotus we only recommend using all natural products that have withstood the test of time by being tested on people for thousands of years. All White Lotus products designed to be used with the Derma Roller are 100% natural in organic bases and are approved by the Vegan society. The products are designed with one simple motto 'to be effective and safe'.
Q: Do you recommend using numbing creams with the Lotus Roller Derma Roller?
A: We strongly recommend against the use of numbing creams with the Lotus Roller Derma Roller. Feed back from hundreds of customers over the years has told us that in general people do not find the use of the Derma Roller painful. This has been supported by scientific evidence as shown above. There is also some evidence that the use of numbing creams may damage local nerves. This works against the philosophy of White Lotus which has always been that the best results can be achieved by enhancing health when providing anti aging solutions.
Q: Do all Derma Rollers induct collagen?
A: No the smallest needles that have been shown to induct collagen are the 0.5mm needles. Derma Rollers with needles smaller than this such as 0.2mm rollers are too small to induce collagen production. Other companies often refer to the small needle length dermarollers they sell as home use rollers. Please be aware these rollers with 0.2 and 0.3mm needle lengths do not induct collagen!
Q: Are FDA approved rollers better than local derma rollers?
A: No Europe does not in fact follow FDA standards. The new EU standards are generally considered the new global standard and are much more stringent than the FDA standards. Please see detailed information above about CE VS FDA Approval
Q: Are Titanium rollers better than stainless steel?
A: Even though titanium is a fantastic material needles have always been made with surgical stainless steel and we find them to be the best material for skin needling, acupuncture needles are also made of Surgical Stainless steel. All medical devices that penetrate the skin are surgical stainless steel (scalpel, syringe, tattoo gun, acupuncture needle etc). It is important to point out that the material used for the roller is not as important as the manufacturing process.
There are no titanium Derma Rollers on the market that meet the quality standards to be registered as an EU Medical device.
Q: Are 540 needle rollers better than 192?
A: No, in fact they are usually difficult to manouver and treat all necessary areas and in fact they may cause excessive trauma to the skin, which is against the white Lotus skin needling philosophy, of no bleeding, no downtime and no pain. Again there is not a roller that sells 540 needles on the market that has 93/42 EC certification.
